Hi! There has been som complains about that the viewdistance is to short. Especially for Tanks, Air and Anti Air units the current VD is too limited. We understand that the VD is kept low in order to keep the lag down and the server stable. What is the current VD set at? Are there any intensions to increase the VD with maybe 500-1000m? |

The VD is set at 1600 atm. As im a tanker I ofcourse also like to have a more realsitic VD. We tried this last tiem (4000) but this lagged the server. I would like to see a way in between and suggest to try a VD of 2000 next week. Nemesi, some input plz. |

Hi The viewdistance is set at 4000 on server and is not set currently on map, we tried to set an adjustable view distance on map but it caused lag |

Of cource server performance should be a priority, but i think that by increasing it from current 1600 to 2000 would already be much better, and should not hit the performance to much. |

I agree, so far only 4 persons have been involved in this subject and nothing has been decided on. I think that anyways any subject should be handled and decided on a bit quicker so people know their comments are being attended to. My idea was to implement a trigger on the map (anybody,on act setviewdistance 2000) setting a VD of 2000 for all BLUFOR leaders will be present tonight between 2000 and 2200 GMT, think it would be good to have REDF leadership there also for a sec. Doesnt have to be long. |

Redfor commanders will also be at ATC TS2 server at this time. |
